Project Electrician

 

Competitive salary, commission, overtime and call out, van + fuel card.

Weblight are a leading lighting and electrical maintenance company.  Our electricians work with respected high street brands such as Iceland, Toys R Us and Clarks across the UK.

To work independently on Electrical and lighting installations and when necessary supervise on site crews. Able to assist in all aspects electrical system installations, commissioning and testing of such installations. To assist and train others in all aspects electrical system installations, commissioning and testing of such installations.We’re looking for experienced electricians with are confident working on commercial lighting.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Able to isolate safely electrical systems for safe working practices. Able to work on all lighting, lighting control systems and emergency lighting systems, covering fault diagnosis and carry out final repair.Comply with Health &Safety requirements and, achieve the objectives of the Weblight H&S and Environmental plans, working within established limits.
  • Work within the procedures detailed by Weblight and those specified in the Quality Procedures manual, company vehicle drivers manual and any others that apply.
  • Good at all forms of communication, either whilst working internally with colleagues or externally with existing or new customers.
  • The ability to read and understand drawings and fully understands contract specifications and is aware of work standard and quality expectations.
  • Ability to carry out small works fitting replacements / sockets / rectification works, seeks “extras” on site.
  • Ensure work records are kept up to date by liaising with the Project Manager and completing the necessary PDA returns.

 

Personal Requirements

  • A full and valid UK driving licence.
  • City & Guilds Part 1 & Part 2 Electrical Installation and AM2. And a holder of 17th edition qualification. ECS, IPAF and PASMA certification required.
  • Be prepared to work to work evenings above and beyond 32 weeks of such calendar year or at least up to 65% of your working times will be during unsociable hours. Able to stay away from home and flexible with travel arrangements.

Service Electrician

We’re looking for experienced electricians with are confident working on commercial lighting.

 

Job role/specifications

  • To carry out lighting maintenance and electrical works
  • To undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate
  • Conduct electrical testing such as fixed wiring testing and remedial works, emergency lighting, fire alarm and PAT testing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • IEE 17th Edition Regulations
  • City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent
  • IPAF / MEWP licence desirable
  • ECS / CSCS card
  • Full driving licence
  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg
  • Lighting maintenance experience is essential
