The Carbon Trust Introduce an Interest-Free Energy Loan

In the current economic climate, businesses are concerned about the costs involved in switching to energy efficient technologies with many industry professionals convinced that 'going green' comes at a high price.  Awareness of the benefits of such technologies has grown considerably such as reduced carbon emissions, lower energy costs etc, but still the questions is raised 'Do we want to spend the money?'.  In reality, this money is already being spent through excessive energy consumption.  Now the Carbon Trust has introduced an opportunity to allow businesses to redirect this expenditure through an Interest Free Loan.  With this scheme it is probable that the resultant energy savings will cover the monthly repayments, hence THE INVESTMENT PAYS FOR ITSELF!  An opportunity to generate income with no capital outlay.

Eligible businesses include:- SME/SMB's (defined as an enterprise which employs fewer than 250 full time equivalent employees, has an annual turnover not exceeding £43m and / or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding £37m) or businesses that do not qualify for the Carbon Reduction Commitment which are UK based and have been trading for over 12 months.

Eligible businesses could borrow between £3,000 and £400,000 dependent on projected carbon emission savings.
