Part L Building Regulations

Building Regulations are national standards which apply to all types of buildings, from major new developments to an extension to your home.  They cover all aspects of construction and include energy conservation relating to lighting.

Weblight can assist businesses with meeting these requirements through a consultation and design service that ensures all installations are energy efficient and comply with current legislation.

Part L of the Building Regulations includes requirements for energy efficient lighting.  Typically, internal lighting will require the installation of a certain number of energy efficient light fittings and requirements for external lighting can be met by using a fitting which automatically turns the light off when there is enough daylight and when it is not requirements at night; for example if fitted with a presence detector that turns the light on for a limited time.
